Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 2011, I have gained experience both in the NHS and independently working with children in a range of settings including mainstream and special schools, community clinics and within mental health settings. I now specialise in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), specific learning needs and developmental delay.
I believe that each child and family are unique and that through a holistic family centred approach, each child can flourish to reach their full potential. I am passionate about the power of play and ensure that therapy is a positive experience for children and their families.
I apply specialist approaches and techniques to maximise each child's engagement, achievement and independence in daily activities, including; play, leisure, school and self care skills such as dressing, toileting and feeding. I am committed to offering an effective, evidence-based service and therefore ensure I actively engage in continuous professional development and update my knowledge of current research.
Most importantly, I ensure that therapy is fun, harnessing your child's inner drive.
